The REYTA Awards

We have been Voted Remarkable Pub for the 2nd year running at the REYTA Awards, plus we also scooped Remarkable Taste. A great evening was had by all.

Spring, Summer...........Winter?

What is the weather doing? We have had some great weather over the last few weeks and have taken to the garden, allotment and herb garden. Only to have the awful weather over the last few days. Hopefully thats not our summer been and gone like last year! The garden here is looking so much more mature this year. The herb garden is looking great and fingers crossed we will get lots of our own produce from our own grounds to use in the kitchen like last year.

Malton Food Festival

Ben is taking part in Malton Food Festival this year which is on Sunday 20th May. He will be doing a cookery demonstration along with a few famous names.

Great Yorkshire Pudding Challenge 2012

Will Ben retain the trophy.........let's hope so. This will be held on Saturday 8th September. Details to follow.

New Front of House Manger

James will be starting work on Tuesday 10th to help Lindsey run the front of house. James has had lots of experience working in local restaurants and some very busy ones down in London. All at the Star are looking forward to him joining the Star Team.
