Try these festive Bahjis to spice up your Christmas supper.
They're a perfect addition to the Christmas buffet or great as a garnish on soup and any leftovers are awesome in a cheddar sandwich.
2 red onion, finely sliced
1 green chilli, finely sliced
2 clove garlic, finely sliced
20g grated root ginger
1 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp all spice ½ grated nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground star anise
1tsp fennel seeds
6 tbsp. gram flour
4 tbsp. rice flour
Handful chopped coriander
1 orange, zest and juice
3 pinch salt
What To Do
Incorporate all the ingredients until they are all bound together.
(Best made a few hours before frying)
Fry in vegetable oil at 160°C until golden brown.
Serve and enjoy!
