On Saturday 6th July we had an amazing turn out to the Family Fun day which was organised and ran by Dot Dot Petcare based in Market Weighton. Karli who owns DotDot never fails to impress with her organisation that created a brilliant event which raised £750 for Canine Partners. Canine Partners is an amazing charity that train dogs to help their owners with every day tasks which many of us take for granted. It takes £20K to train one dog to be able to assist their partner. It was such an eyeopener watching them and the ability of the dogs tugged on the old heart strings.
We had lots of other things going on also, the dog show which formed a large part of the day, lots of children's activities, food, drink and of course it wouldn't be a family day without a tombola! I myself was serving drinks for the day but I did have a great view of what was going on.
