Here at the Star Inn we take great care and serve high quality food from local suppliers, we are consistent in the standard of food we serve. We understand the dangers of cross- contamination and that more and more people are now suffering with allergies and intolerances and that each customer’s needs are individual. Your dietary requirements are extremely important to us, we acknowledge that customers consider where the right place is to eat when they have a special requirement. Please note that our menu descriptors do not include all ingredients or allergens. Even if you have chosen the item previously, please inform us each time you visit and always inform your waiter of your allergy, intolerance or dietary requirements when ordering each course as ingredients and specifications can change.
We want you to know that despite taking precautions, normal kitchen operations may involve some shared cooking and preparation areas, equipment, and utensils, we do use many allergens in our kitchens daily. There is always a risk that unintended “cross-contact” traces may be found in any dish we serve. We will do everything we can to ensure the food you order is suitable for your allergen(s)/dietary choices. We will prepare your chosen dish using clean sterile equipment in our normal kitchen. We would like to point out that no allergen/vegan food can be 100% guaranteed “free-from”.
